Yves Rocher

A journey through 60 years of beauty and commitment

Let's go!

Our commitment to restoring biodiversity

  • The Jardin Botanique

Founded in La Gacilly in 1977, this sprawling Botanical Garden stretches over 2 hectares of land.

It is actually an open-air laboratory where more than 1,500 species are evolving under the watchful eyes of the Horticulture and Botany team. In just a few years, biodiversity protection has doubled the number of insects and butterflies at this location. The breathtaking garden is open to the public and is also home to rare and endangered species. It serves as a great source of inspiration for the Yves Rocher botanists.

Our commitments to animals

  • No more animal testing

In 1989, pioneering Yves Rocher decides to put an end to animal testing for the brand’s finished products years before it is banned by European legislation in 2004

  • The SPA gold medal

In 1992, Yves Rocher receives the SPA gold medal recognizing our ongoing action for the well-being of animals

  • Partnership with Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (Bird Protection League) to protect flora and fauna (2008)

  • Industrial sites and Biodiversity Refuges

We’ve installed birdhouses, built a pond, planted native species, and made woodpiles. Everything is designed to protect biodiversity at our locations.

  • Prix Entreprises et Environnement (Enterprise and Environment Award)

Sustainable development has been one of the brand’s top priorities since 1959. From production and extraction to manufacturing and distribution – we control every step of the process from seed to skin.
