The secret of how we make our products

The star of our formulas is the active botanical ingredient. It has superpowers that give your skin what it really needs like hydration, pollution defense and anti-aging properties.

We add as many natural ingredients as possible to the formula to support its effectiveness or provide a sensory experience such as texture, fragrance and color. We set ourselves a goal of at least 85%* natural ingredients in every skincare product by 2020. * Not including sun care and tinted products. To make products stable and safe, we add synthetic ingredients when there is no harmless natural alternative and they are essential. But we always do it sparingly and in the right doses! What's more, we have stopped using certain ingredients to help respect your skin and Nature. We have voluntarily excluded 300 ingredients in addition to the 1,300 that are banned by European regulations. We are on a daily quest to improve ourselves and give you the best of Nature.

  • 2017: The first concentrated shower gel

    Finally, eco-constraints are a thing of the past! The Concentrated Shower Gel is a groundbreaking advance providing a beauty ritual that’s as good for your skin as it is for the Earth.

    A 100 ml bottle holds the same number of showers as a 400 ml bottle! But the Concentrated Shower Gel is that much less harmful for the environment. And the dollop-dispensing cap gives you the perfect dose for washing your body – you get a full shower and eco-joy in just one pump! A beautiful way to make a difference.
  • 2018: The first concentrated shampoo

    One year after the Concentrated Shower Gel was launched, we introduced the first I Love My Planet concentrated shampoo

OUR CRUSADE TO REDUCE PLASTIC

  • Plastic bags banned from stores in 2006

    In 2006, visionary brand Yves Rocher stopped allowing plastic bags in stores and introduced its own reusable shopping bag. The result: 200 tons of plastic saved annually.

  • Reducing plastic in our products

    We are cutting down consumption of non-renewable resources by reducing packaging weight and using recycled raw materials as part of a circular economy approach.

    We also design recyclable packaging to be recycled by our customers. 87% of PET bottles contain recycled plastic, which saved over 330 tons of plastic in 2017. We prefer to use it in as many products as possible for a more significant impact rather than focusing on our efforts on one specific range. Compared to 2010, our plastic packaging weight is 19% lighter, which saves over 1,000 tons of plastic per year.
