To mark the 20th year of the Yves Rocher Foundation-Institut de France, Jacques Rocher is launching the Planting Tribe, an international mobilization campaign: an actual human chain that will advocate for reforestation issues at the Rio Earth Summit in 2012.

In 1992, Jacques Rocher, President of the Yves Rocher Foundation, brought a petition signed by 300,000 people to the first Rio Earth Summit in order to preserve the Amazon forest. In 2012, 20 years later, a new campaign will be organized and Jacques Rocher will join a vast chain of citizens from 5 continents: the Planting Tribe.

Together, from La Gacilly to Moscow, from Paris to Cape Town, from Sydney to Vancouver, the Planting Tribe members will go to Rio in 2012 to declare that a greener world is more than just a possibility – it’s a necessity!
